Chapter Lead – Data Management Operations, is a newly created position within Chief data office team. You’ll be responsible for leading a practice of data stewards and serving as a practice advisor to implement data quality, privacy, and ethics controls and measures across IBAL. Key focuses on ensuring high standards of data integrity, collaborating with data owners and stakeholders to address data issues, and providing guidance and support on best practices for data quality. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for developing and running the Data training programs, offering functional support, and training to users on data governance, management frameworks, and data privacy best practices. This role ensures that frameworks and processes developed by the Data Governance and Management team, and the Data Privacy and Ethics team are effectively implemented across the organization.

What you’ll do …

  • Lead a practice of data stewards, providing guidance and support to ensure the implementation of data quality, privacy, and ethics controls and measures.
  • Collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to address data issues and improve data processes.
  • Provide expert advice and support to data users on best practices and maintenance of data quality.
  • Work closely with the Data Governance and Management team, and the Data Privacy and Ethics team to implement frameworks and processes.
  • Monitor and provide feedback on the implementation of data governance, management, and privacy frameworks and processes to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with data owners, business units, and tribes to ensure that data governance, management, and privacy practices effectively integrated into daily operations.
  • Provide functional support and training on data governance and management frameworks, data privacy, protection, and ethics best practices.
  • Develop and conduct workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance data literacy and promote a culture of data stewardship across the organization.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of data quality controls and measures Implement for the business or tribes.

What we’re looking for…

  • Strong understanding of data quality, privacy, and ethics standards and best practices.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in data governance, data management, and data privacy within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Proven experience in implementing data governance frameworks and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of data stewards.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs on data governance and privacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results for the business through a combination of strong interpersonal and technical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail Provide insights and analysis that are well presented and meaningful to the business to engage with stakeholders at all levels of management.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
