We’re on the hunt for a talented Senior UI Designer to join our Wellington team.
This is a chance to lead the visual design on some of our most exciting programmes, and create smart, striking interfaces that solve real problems and set new benchmarks. From storytelling platforms to interactive tools and complex product UIs, you’ll help craft experiences people actually want to use.
You'll bring sharp interaction thinking, strong visual craft and a keen eye for detail. You'll love solving design challenges with a multidisciplinary team. You'll push creative boundaries, but always with purpose, creating experiences that are cohesive, intuitive and accessible from the ground up.
What you'll do.
- Create visually compelling, responsive interface designs for websites, applications and digital products
- Collaborate with UX designers, developers and strategists to deliver holistic digital experiences
- Balance aesthetic excellence with usability, accessibility and technical feasibility
- Present design concepts to clients and incorporate feedback effectively
- Apply your expertise in typography, colour theory, layout and visual hierarchy
- Establish and support the expansion of visual design systems, component libraries and style guides
- Support developers during implementation to ensure design integrity
What we're looking for.
- 6+ years' experience in UI design for digital products and experiences
- Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual design skills
- Expertise in creating complex tool and product UIs
- Expertise with modern design tools (Figma etc.)
- Experience creating design systems, component libraries and visual style guides
- Strong understanding of responsive design, typography and design principles
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
- Experience collaborating with developers and understanding technical constraints
- A positive, curious, enthusiastic and collaborative attitude
